Veterinary urgent care may be appropriate when a dog or cat needs prompt attention but is stable and does not appear to have a life-threatening condition. UrgentVet Lakeville accepts walk-ins and online check-ins for many same-day concerns, but it does not provide overnight hospitalization or treat certain critical conditions.

Go directly to an emergency hospital for severe trauma, major breathing difficulty, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, prolonged seizures, a painful swollen abdomen, inability to urinate, severe hit-by-car injuries, or other rapidly worsening conditions. Waits of two to five hours or longer may occur, and a facility may reach capacity. Calling first can help you identify the appropriate destination and avoid unnecessary travel.

Cannon Valley Veterinary Clinic is not a 24-hour emergency hospital. During regular hours, urgent cases may be accommodated when staffing and scheduling allow, but availability is not guaranteed.
